The Design Challenge

Tom Barnum, the Owner, wants to create a new campus for the currently dispersed office and fabricating functions of the company. The challenge is to create an office building for the new campus that has space for his team to interact/work  creatively and efficiently.

The Design Response

The building will provide 11,600 square feet of office and conference space at the company’s new campus in Auburn, California. The building will be a two story, steel frame structure with views to the surrounding countryside. A large central lobby space will provide a link among the individual offices on the perimeter.

Barnum Mechanical designs and fabricates food-processing equipment from stainless steel components. We will be using stainless steel elements, trim and fixtures throughout the building to relate to their products.
